Feeling energised
Published: June 03 2015
Bespoke cars, food and renewable energy – what more could you possibly ask for on a day out?! On Tuesday June 2, 2015, Wye Valley Energy had the pleasure of attending the Environment & Energy Expo held at Morgan Motor Company, and what an experience it was.
If you have never heard Ed Gillespie speak, you don’t know what you’re missing. Mr. Gillespie founded a sustainability agency known as Futerra, and let me tell you this man knows his stuff. If you want to know where the world is heading without our intervention and renewable energy, just follow him on twitter or watch some of the YouTube posts he has.
While I could carry on all day about Futerra I think it pertinent that I discuss some of the other happenings at the expo. It was a great networking day; we were able to discuss with numerous other companies in the area about energy saving ideas without the pressure to sell, sell, sell. Rather we had civilised conversations about our two favourite things – saving money and saving the environment.
And let’s not forget the hospitality of the Morgan Motor Company who fed us, gave us all the tea and coffee we could handle and offered a factory tour for all who attended. I have to confess that after the factory tour I might have splurged a bit in the gift shop.
All in all, this was a wonderful, useful expo and we would like to thank all you attended and joined in our conversations, MetNet for sponsoring it and Morgan Motor Company for hosting us. We hope to see you there next year!
